Teachers
Our teachers are professional instructors, selected to be comfortable in a
GLBTQ-positive environment. Our principal instructors at the moment are:
Tina Nicolaidis
Tina's training in dance started in 1984 at the Conservatory of Dance and Music
where she trained in classical ballet, jazz, character dance, modern and hip hop.
Tina found her love in latin dancing after visiting a hot latin nightclub in Toronto
and has been hooked ever since. She began teaching Salsa in 1997 for various schools
and organizations including the University of Toronto. Tina began her own company in
2001 called City Dance Corps, which has quickly become one of Toronto's best studios
for quality Latin Instruction, also offering lessons in Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Tap,
Pilates and kids classes. Since then, Tina has been featured as an international guest
instructor in Bermuda and Greece, and has also been a featured choreographer for Salsa
Team Canada 2004, off-broadway theatre productions, and University of Toronto to name

Olé Burlay and Eléna Burlay
Elena and Olé love to dance and they love teaching others to dance.
Each of them has been dancing for many years and they have been dancing together
since 1992. Their talent in dancing led them to pursue training from the best teachers
in England and Canada. Those teachers urged them to display their talents in competition;
Elena and Olé have been competing in professional dance for over ten years.
